My music<\/a> serves as a refuge for me, in the chaotic whirl of everyday life. Click HERE<\/a> to listen to my music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I grew up listening to mom and her sisters, singing the pop standards of the 1940’s and classic church hymns. At six years of age, I watched Ed Sullivan<\/strong> introduce America to a myriad of music genres including my favs, The Beatles<\/strong>, and I was hooked! I then became influenced by pop music acts such as, The Monkees<\/strong>, The Archies<\/strong>, Tom Jones<\/strong>, Andy Williams<\/strong>, The Beach Boys<\/strong>, Johnny Cash<\/strong>, Glen Campbell<\/strong>, The Smothers Brothers<\/strong> and many of the, “one hit wonders,” of the day. It soon became very clear that maybe this was an indication that there was more to life than what was currently happening in my very mundane midwestern life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As my musical tastes matured, I discovered Gladys Night & the Pips<\/strong>, The Temptations<\/strong>, Steely Dan<\/strong>, Stevie Wonder<\/strong> and Cat Stevens<\/strong>. I was also enamored by the wilder, hipper, cooler, rockier side of music including, Alice Cooper<\/strong>, Deep Purple<\/strong>, Jimi Hendrix<\/strong>, The Who<\/strong>, The Rolling Stones<\/strong> and Yes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n My insatiable music appetite then led me to the vocal harmonies and intricate melodies of Simon & Garfunkel<\/strong>, America<\/strong>, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young<\/strong>, The Doobie Brothers<\/strong>, Eagles<\/strong>, Pink Floyd<\/strong>, Dan Fogelberg<\/strong>, Linda Ronstadt<\/strong>, Boston<\/strong>, Tom Petty<\/strong> and many more of the same caliber. My current favs include John Mayer<\/strong>, Radiohead<\/strong>, Prince<\/strong>, Foo Fighters<\/strong> and too many more to mention… Is it any wonder that my personal philosophy is to embrace the healing power of music? As far back as I can remember, I have felt music had the power to inspire many positive feelings including, but not limited to, peace & love. I guess that’s why I’m always seeking to use my music to create an environment that nurtures positive connections between individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As I feel music has the unique ability to transport us beyond our daily struggles and, it is in the spirit of those artists who have inspired me, that I strive to write lyrics & melodies that are harmonious with my soul and that, hopefully, transcend barriers, promoting tranquility and reflection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This being said, I would like to invite you into my musical space of understanding, happiness, introspection and solace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Understanding, I believe, cannot exist without empathy. In a world divided by differences, music remains a universal language that can unite us, reminding us that we all are part of something greater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
